The first time I ever saw a tattoo machine, I was with a friend.

He had just bought one, and neither of us had the slightest clue how to even set it up, let alone use it. We literally had no idea what we were doing. So we turned to YouTube, watched a bunch of videos, and somehow managed to get it running.

 

Once it was working, it was game on — he drew something for me, I drew something for him, and we just went for it. No experience, no plan — just two friends giving each other their very first tattoos.

 

That was the beginning. We kept going, tattooing ourselves and our friends. It’s been 8 years since that day — and it all started with one machine and a whole lot of curiosity.
